1. Who you are buying from

Invoice Genie is operated by Market Vendr Limited, registered in England and Wales (company number 08047025). Subscriptions are sold through Paddle.com Market Limited, which acts as the merchant of record and authorised reseller for the Service. Paddle handles payment, invoicing, VAT and the processing of any refund issued under this policy.

2. Try before you pay

Every new organisation can create three documents free of charge before choosing a plan. No payment details are required to use the free trial. We strongly recommend using it to confirm the Service fits your workflow, because it is the clearest way to avoid needing a refund at all.

3. 14-day refund on your first payment

If you are not satisfied with the Service, you may request a full refund of your first subscription payment within 14 days of that payment being taken. We will refund the full amount and close the subscription. This applies once per organisation.

4. Renewals

Subscriptions renew automatically — monthly plans each month, annual plans each year — until cancelled. Renewal payments are generally non-refundable, because you can cancel at any time before a renewal falls due and Paddle emails a reminder before annual renewals are taken.

We recognise that mistakes happen. If a renewal was charged in error, or was taken shortly after you stopped using the Service, contact us — we review these case by case and will act reasonably.

5. Cancelling your subscription

You can cancel at any time from Subscription in your dashboard, which opens the Paddle billing portal. Cancelling stops all future payments.

Cancellation is not immediate termination: your plan and its seat allowance remain active until the end of the period you have already paid for. After that date the organisation returns to trial limits. Cancelling part-way through a paid period does not generate a partial refund for the unused remainder.

6. Your documents after cancellation

Invoices and documents you have already created remain available to you for the remainder of the paid period, and can be exported as PDF or CSV at any time before it ends. Export anything you need to keep before your access reverts. See our Privacy Policy for how long data is retained and how to request deletion.

7. When we may decline a refund

We may decline a refund request where:

• the 14-day window on your first payment has passed and the charge is a renewal;
• the account has been used in breach of our Terms & Conditions; or
• the request relates to dissatisfaction with output you were responsible for checking — the Service is an invoice builder and checker, and you remain the declarant or exporter of record for anything you produce with it.

8. How to request a refund

Email contact@invoice-genie.co.uk from the address on the account, telling us the organisation name and the payment you are asking about. We aim to respond within 5 business days.

Approved refunds are returned by Paddle to the original payment method. Paddle typically completes this within 5–10 business days, though the time for funds to appear depends on your bank or card issuer. You can also contact Paddle directly at paddle.net, where you can find your invoices using the email address you paid with.

9. Your statutory rights

Nothing in this policy limits or excludes any right you have under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, or any other applicable law that cannot be excluded by agreement. Where the Service is supplied to you as a business, some consumer cancellation rights do not apply — the commitments in sections 3 to 5 above are given by us regardless.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The version in force when you made a payment is the one that applies to that payment.
